List of Indian Premier League centuries
In cricket, a batsman reaches a century when he scores 100 or more runs in a single innings. A century is regarded as a landmark score for a batsman, and his number of centuries is generally recorded in his career statistics. The first century in the IPL was scored in the first match on 18 April 2008 at M. The slowest century was scored by Sachin Tendulkar for the Mumbai Indians against the Kochi Tuskers Kerala. He scored 100 runs in 66 balls at a strike rate of 151.51.〔 Brendon McCullum, Adam Gilchrist, David Warner, Virender Sehwag and Vijay are the only batsmen to score two centuries;〔 Chris Gayle has scored four.〔 Five of the 25 centuries have been made by players of the Delhi Daredevils, the Kings XI Punjab and the Royal Challenger Bangalore each, which is more than any other team.〔 The Chennai Super Kings, the Deccan Chargers, the Kolkata Knight Riders and the Royal Challengers Bangalore have conceded the greatest number of centuries, with four each.〔 Twenty-two batsmen have scored 90–99 runs in an innings, and ten of them were not out.〔
